The NŌA Rental is a proudly South African and female-owned online dress rental company in South Africa providing you with front-row access to hire international and local dresses. We have removed the expensive price tag and added increased choice and environmental sustainability. 

You can rent a dress online or visit our studio in Bedfordview for a try-on session.

The NŌA Rental can ship your rental throughout South Africa. 

RENTING ITEMS

When attempting to book an item, you will be asked to select a Delivery Date. Clicking this will open up the availability calendar for that item. This shows live availability for the item. If you can select the date, it’s available for that date!

Your item will be booked for the dates that you select and purchase on our website or at our studio. An item cannot be reserved without booking and making payment for the item.

BOOKING PERIOD & DATES

The standard rental period is 4 days, however we do not do collections on weekends therefore if you book your dress over this period, the extra day is a gift from us to you.

The deliver/arrives by date and return on date are included in the rental period. As an example, for a 4-day booking, if it is delivered on Friday, it will be collected on Monday.

SIZING & FIT

Like all online fashion purchases, it is difficult to say with 100% certainty whether something will fit.

We have made our best effort to give you the exact sizing of every item. 

  • Read the description under “Style Notes” as this will sometimes have information regarding shape & fit.
  • Scroll down on the product page to view the size guide for that specific dress/item. This will usually include hips/bust/waist measurements. 
  • See if we have customer photos for the item displayed on the product page,  which may help guide you.

If you’re still in doubt, or have any specific questions, just contact us.

If the item does not fit you must notify us within 4 (four) hours of accepting the delivery.

You can either request another size (subject to availability) or return the garment. If you notify us of your sizing issue within 4 (four) hours of receiving the garment and you wish to return the garment instead of request another dress, you will be issued with a refund to the value of the rental amount minus delivery costs.

If your booking entitles you to a gift-card, it will be issued with a 6 month expiry.

DELIVERY

Your item will be delivered on or before the delivery date you selected when making your booking (This is the first day of your 4-day rental period).

We recommend you choose a date that is 2 days prior to the date you intend to wear the item.

As soon as an item is dispatched from our studio you will receive an email from us, which will include a tracking number for the courier company.

You can track the delivery of items directly on the couriers website by entering the waybill number provided in your dispatch email. 

If you haven’t received notification that your item has been dispatched, along with a tracking number, 24 hours prior to your expected delivery date, then please get in touch with us ASAP.

RETURNING ITEMS

All rentals booked on The NŌA Rental will come with a return postage satchel. All you need to do is place the item in the satchel and make sure you are available on the 4th day of your rental (collection day) and our courier partner will collect the item from the same address used for delivery.

Penalties will apply if you are not available for the courier to collect on collection day.

No, this is taken care of by us and is included in your rental fee.

Please do not under any circumstances attempt to clean a garment yourself. If you do this and cause permanent damage or staining, you may be liable for repair or replacement fees in accordance with our Rental Agreement.

If you’ve lost the provided prepaid return postage satchel, you will be responsible for the cost of returning the item yourself. This must be done over the counter at an Aramex counter near you. Please get in touch with us for our courier address and details as well as to provide us with the tracking number for the parcel.

DAMAGE OR LOSS

If you damage a rental item, do not attempt to repair it. If it can be easily repaired (e.g. sewing on a button, re-stitching) it will be taken care of with no additional cost to you. It’s also not a problem if the garment is stained, as long as it comes out when it is dry-cleaned after you’ve returned the garment.

You agree that under no circumstances will you attempt to clean the rental item(s) yourself, or have them cleaned by anyone else. Do not cut, alter or hem tape any item booked via The NŌA Rental.

If an item is damaged and is not covered by minor repairs as mentioned above, you will be liable for the cost of restoring or replacing the garment.

It is your responsibility to take care of the item you’ve rented through The NŌA Rental, and this includes knowing its whereabouts at all times between the time it is delivered to you and the time it is collected. Do not leave it in an unsafe place, with a friend or anywhere else which might result in losing the item.

If it is lost, you need to let us know immediately, even if you think it may eventually turn up. As early as possible, we will need to inform any customers that have booked the item for after your rental that we may not be able to fulfill their booking, so they have time to organise an alternative.

If the item is lost you will be liable for a replacement and this can be up to 120% of the original RRP of the item, as per our Rental Agreement.
